Description:

The plateau known asFortressis formed on a steep and high hill immediately after the village Skiti. Approximately two kilometer long walls are salvaged on the plateau, alongside the remains of towers, a tank and the ruins of buildings. The salvaged walls are 3 meters high, while the height of one of the square towers to the south is approximately 6 meters. The remains belong to a mediaeval fortified city, which dominated the south -west side of Mt Kissavos and the north side of Mavrovouni and controlled the road leading from Agiokambos to Larissa.

Special
characteristics

It is important due to its location, the size and the remains of buildings it salvages. The Byzantine Centauropolis is placed here, whose walls were repaired by Justinian, together with the ones in Evrymenes.
